Of course, our life as catholic Christians is based in Thanksgiving,”Eucharist” being that very thing.   This Thanksgiving Eve, it was my great honor and privilege to be with Church of the Holy Apostles and Church of the Resurrection, Bellevue, to celebrate the 25th year of their ecumenical/interfaith covenant with Cross of Christ Lutheran, St. Louise Roman Catholic Church, and Temple B’nai Torah.

It is an amazing partnership, they have claimed their neighborhood and have, together, pledged and worked in outreach to it.  I would encourage you to look into it if you have not heard of it or know about it.  This is an example of something we need to see much more of.   Here are a few pictures.  I am very grateful for the honor of being asked to speak and to witness this wonderful covenant in action! It was also a great honor to have two bishops, an Archbishop, and a Rabbi or two in the room.  (Sounds like the beginning of a joke, huh?, but it was the farthest thing from it!)  This was actually the first time Archbishop Sartain, Bishop Boerger, and I were in the same room.  I surely hope there will be more.
